The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), known as the pinnacle of electronic music festivals worldwide, has just unveiled its final lineup for the 2024 edition. Running from October 16-20, this year’s event is set to be its most monumental yet, boasting over 1,000 events spread across more than 200 venues in the Dutch capital.
With over 3,000 artists performing, ADE continues to reign as the largest club-based electronic music festival and conference globally. The festival opens with five extraordinary ADE Arts & Culture concerts, promising a unique and unforgettable experience from day one.
Five Unmissable Opening Concerts
ADE 2024 begins with an artistic twist, offering five simultaneous opening concerts on Wednesday, October 16. Dutch singer-songwriter Eefje de Visser will deliver an unplugged performance at the Van Gogh Museum, allowing her emotive music to blend seamlessly with the museum's serene atmosphere. Meanwhile, Nick Verstand and the Cello Octet Amsterdam will present their live audiovisual piece, 'COCON II', at the DOOR OPEN SPACE, an immersive experience designed specifically for ADE.
Another highlight will be the collaboration between free jazz legend Greetje Bijma and experimental artist Oceanic, taking place at BIMHUIS. Classical music enthusiasts can enjoy Philip Glass by Lavinia Meijer & Nikki Hock at the iconic Zuiderkerk, while the legendary Metropole Orkest partners with Miguel Atwood-Ferguson at Melkweg to perform a tribute titled ‘50 Years of J Dilla.’
